About

Anna is a lecturer at UNSW where she leads the 3D visualisation discipline. She has extensive industry experience, with a career in animation and motion graphics spanning since 2002. Anna has created two short animations that earned multiple nominations and awards. Her film Pending received a Best Short Film nomination at the 2002 Venice Film Festival. She also contributed to Heirlooms, an SBS-funded animation series that was shortlisted at the Annecy Animation Festival in 2011.

Her animated work Motion and Trails (2024) was exhibited at the Inside|Out exhibition during the Creativity and Cognition Conference at Chicago's Bridgeport Art Center in June 2024, demonstrating her growing international recognition in the field of digital art and animation.

Throughout her career, Anna has had the privilege of collaborating with filmmakers, artists, and designers on inspiring projects. Recent highlights include co-leading a team of UNSW art and design students in partnership with internationally renowned designer Bruce Mau on his Design For All the Senses (2022) solo performance in Sydney, designing animation motion graphics for eight, three-meter high screens at the UNSW Roundhouse.

In August 2025, she collaborated with Melbourne-based artist Fiona Cabassi on an audio-visual installation Pink puffs upon checks and spotted mossy smudges. The exhibition served not only as an artistic outcome but as a research artifact that documents innovative approaches to immersive art-making, providing insights for future interdisciplinary collaborations and installation practices.
